The sign-up for check-in times has closed. Anyone who did not select their own check-in time was assigned a time. Check-in times should be available to view near your housing and meal plan information in the CUNE Portal by August 9. If you have not completed all of your forms (Housing Contract, Course Pre-Registration, FERPA, etc.) please contact the Admission office to see what you may still be missing. We cannot assign your housing or classes until we have these forms completed.

Adjusting to college life can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone! YOU are invited to join a community group with 6-8 other new Concordia students for the first six weeks of school as we talk about these topics and more:

• Community - (How to find friends, loneliness, connecting with a local church, etc.)
• Identity - (Who are you? Who does God say you are?, Navigating failure)
• Faith - (Faith practices and rhythms, what to do with doubts)
• Integrity - (Living a real life instead of fake, loving and honoring others, integrity in dating)
• Freedom - (How to use the freedom of college well, temptations, rest)
• Service - (Vocation, gifts, caring for others, being a light in darkness)

This is a great chance to get connected to a variety of students across campus. Groups will be offered at a variety of times & days throughout the week so we should be able to find one that fits in every schedule! You'll get to pick your group at the Starting Now Kick-Off Event on Sunday of LAUNCH weekend. We have spots for up to 50 students so get your spot today!

Auditions will take place on Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24. If you want to participate in an ensemble, make sure you audition (if required) and get registered for it!

If you just want to meet our awesome health center staff or have a few basic questions about their services, they will be available for all students on the move-in days without an appointment. However, some students with chronic or other severe medical conditions appreciate having a conversation with our health center staff when they first arrive on campus. Our Nurse Practitioner, Suzanne Briggs, is offering appointments on move-in day and throughout the first week of school for anyone who would like a private opportunity to give more details than were provided on your health forms.

April 15 - Early Housing Assignments: Any students who have their housing contract completed by April 15 will be housed by April 30. Student may or may not have a roommate assigned at this time. If we have a great match we’ll match at this time; if not, we’ll wait until we have more contracts submitted. 

June 1 – Next Housing Round - Any applications that come in between April 16 and June 1 will be housed as we find good matches and no later than Jump Start Day on June 17.

After June 1 – Students who submit housing contracts after June 1 will be housed as soon as we are able to find good roommate matches and housing locations. Please note this can sometimes take a couple weeks as we may need to wait for more contracts to come in to find a good fit. To find your housing assignments:

1. Log in to portal.cune.edu.
2. Click on the “Student” tab at the top (may say “New Student”)
3. Click on “Banner self-service”
4. Click on “Student”
5. Then click on “Housing, roommates, meal plans.”
6. Make sure you choose the ‘Fall Semester 202510’ term.

If you have not completed your housing contract or it arrived in our office recently, your housing information may not be available yet. 

We encourage you to start connecting as soon as possible with your roommate through social media, email, and phone conversations. Talk about who is bringing what items and start building a relationship now!

Concordia has a variety of breaks throughout the year without classes. The residence halls and dining services are closed for some of them. Please mark your calendars now for when you will need to be out of the dorms and plan break travel accordingly. (If you are an athlete who has competitions during the breaks your coach will give you information about housing and meals.)

• Fall Break – October 18-21 – Dorms and Dining Hall Open
• Thanksgiving Break – Dorms and Dining Closed November 23 at 10am through December 1 at 10am
• Christmas Break – Dorms and Dining Closed December 20 at 10am through January 12 at 10am
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day – January 20 – Dorms and Dining Hall Open
• Spring Break – Dorms Closed March 8 at 10am through March 16 at 10am
• Easter Break – April 18-21 – Dorms and Dining Hall Open
• Move Out at End of Year – Dorms Close to all non-graduating students at 10am on Friday May 9.
