Theatre Facilities
Concordia’s performance venues and theatre spaces provide you with the opportunity to perform, direct or be a part of the stage or costume crew in both mainstage and smaller stage productions. Every year, the theatre department hosts two major productions and numerous smaller productions, from musicals and Shakespearean tragedies to modern-day comedies and one-act plays. Students are involved in each step of each production, as costume and set designers, directors, stage managers and actors.
Weller Auditorium
Concordia Theatre performs mainstage productions on the newly-renovated stage in Weller Auditorium. With seats for more than 500 audience members, theatrical lighting and a state-of-the-art sound system, Weller Auditorium offers a great space for drama.
Black Box Studio Theater
Located in the lower level of the Music Center, Concordia’s Black Box Theater serves as a venue for smaller, more intimate theatrical performances throughout the year, including one-act plays, IMPROVables performances and smaller shows.
Olde Glory Theatre
Built in 1873, Olde Glory was once one of the oldest churches in Seward County, Nebraska. The church has since been renovated into a theater and has become one of Concordia Theatre’s performance locations.
