On a blustery day at Woodland Hills in Eagle, Neb., the Concordia men's golf team slid back from third to seventh in the GPAC standings. Freshman Tylar Samek remains in the running for an all-conference finish.
Aiming for a top-three finish, Concordia men's golf slid back one spot while completing the two-day Briar Cliff Invite on Thursday. Individually, Nolan Zikas placed ninth for his fourth top 10 finish of the season.
Behind strong play by Russell Otten and Nolan Zikas, the Concordia men's golf team came in under 300 for the fourth time in 2016-17. The Bulldogs are in third place after day one at the Briar Cliff Invite.
Russell Otten and Nolan Zikas both made climbs up the leaderboard in the third and final round of the Midland Spring Invitational. Otten placed fourth and Zikas sixth. As a team, Concordia finished fifth out of nine squads.
In the first official outing of the spring for Bulldog men's golf, Concordia stands in fifth place with 18 holes left to complete at the Midland Spring Invite. Russell Otten sits in sixth place on the leaderboard.
Reid Wiebe leads the Bulldogs as they finish eighth out of 15 in the Nebraska Intercollegiate.
Tuesday's (Oct. 4) scheduled round two of the men's golf GPAC Fall Qualifier was postponed due to persistent heavy rains. The remaining 54 holes of conference qualifier action will be played in the spring.
Tylar Samek led a tightly-grouped top four for Bulldog men's golf on the opening day of conference action on Monday (Oct. 3) in Sioux Falls, S.D. Concordia sits in third place.
