Digital Tools for Visual Communication, Brommer 205
Seth Boggs
An introduction to the Digital Lab and Tools (Hardware and Software) This session will be a quick overview of Adobe Creative Cloud, Wacom Cintiq's high-definition pen displays with multi-touch capabilities, the large format print lab and Glowforge laser cutter. We will discuss digital illustration techniques with some simple cell animation thrown in for fun.
Image Transfer, Brommer 123
Working with large–scale photographs, students will create compositions that merge areas of flat color with overlaid transferred images. This collage workshop offers expressive combinations and an inventive use of picture fragments.

Aaron Nix
Students will have a chance to get hands-on experience with mirrorless cameras while working in small groups to accomplish a series of prompts. Photographers will explore elements of photography such as composition, lighting, and movement.

Sensory Perception, Bommer 117
Don Robson
Students will create a non-objective watercolor painting inspired by a track of instrumental music concentrating on the different aspects associated between music and design. The elements and principles of design should be considered as well as emotive qualities in composing their work of art.
Wheel Throwing, Brommer 013
Justin Groth
Students will see how Professor Groth approaches different forms and techniques on the wheel. Students will have an opportunity to discuss and try the approaches to making a pot.
