Three-Dimensional Design, Brommer 013
Justin Groth

An essential foundation in the process of making dimensional objects. Projects explore different techniques in production of form through additive and subtractive means. There will be an emphasis on formal production by strongly considering the elements and principles of design in the making of objects in space.

Integrated Materials, Bommer 117 
Don Robson

An exploration of the intuitive process of drawing and the spatial language of sculpture, challenging the boundaries between the two, this course will focus on creating a unique dialog based on symbolism and metaphorical content.

Inter-Media, Bommer 123
Jim Bockelman

A study of the history and theory of collage. Exploration of the unique characteristics and potential of two-dimensional collage, assemblage relief, and installation. Conceptual development through the presentation of various techniques, theories, and approaches.

Ceramics – Hand Building & Slip Casting, Brommer 013
Justin Groth

Introduction to making objects by hand using clay. The focus will be on design and process with different joining techniques. Molding making and slip casting to produce multiples will also be covered. Projects will be finished in a range of glazes and firing temperatures. Conceptual concerns and ideas related to the field of crafts and design are addressed.

Seth Boggs

Concentrated study in the aesthetic and functional organization of information and visual elements within two-dimensional composition. With an emphasis on preparing text and images for electronic pre-press and for selecting printing options.
