Nebraska Science Bowl

The goal of the Science Bowl is to encourage students to excel in science and mathematics. Many of these students will continue their education beyond high school to pursue a career in science and mathematics.

The 2026 Nebraska Science Bowl Dates

February 7, 2026 – Nebraska High School Science Bowl

February 28, 2027 – Nebraska Middle School Science Bowl

Interested in volunteering to help?

There are six roles we need volunteers for:

• Moderator: Reads the questions and determines if answer is correct
• Question Judge: Ensure each question is read correctly, operate the buzzer system and help resolve question challenges
• Timekeepers: Operate the official competition time clock
• Scorekeeper: Accurately award points and record the competition score
• Rules Judge: Ensure competition rules are followed
• Registration/Runner: Help with registration, lunch and logistics during the competitions
