Nebraska Science Bowl
Concordia University, Nebraska is proud to host the 2025 Nebraska Science Bowl. In February 2025 teams of middle school and high school students will compete in fun, fast-paced rounds testing students’ knowledge of science and mathematics. The winning team of each level earns an all-expense paid trip to compete in the National Science Bowl in Washington D.C. The National Science Bowl is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Concordia University, Nebraska CampusThe goal of the Science Bowl is to encourage students to excel in science and mathematics. Many of these students will continue their education beyond high school to pursue a career in science and mathematics.
The 2025 Nebraska Science Bowl dates are:
February 8, 2024 – Nebraska Middle School Science Bowl
February 22, 2024 – Nebraska High School Science Bowl
Interested in volunteering to help?
There are six "jobs" we need volunteers for:
- Moderator: Reads the questions and determines if answer is correct
- Question Judge: Ensure each question is read correctly, operate the buzzer system and help resolve question challenges
- Timekeepers: Operate the official competition time clock
- Scorekeeper: Accurately award points and record the competition score
- Rules Judge: Ensure competition rules are followed
- Registration/Runner: Help with registration, lunch and logistics during the competitions
