Thirteen Concordia Nebraska students had art work on display at the 2024 CINCF/Lincoln Industries Student Art Show in Omaha in April. The 2024 CINCF/Lincoln Industries Student Art Show took place in the Hillmer Art Gallery on the College of Saint Mary campus located at 7000 Mercy Road in Omaha.

Concordia Nebraska students exhibiting in the show were Ava Bartels, Sophia Bossio, Abby Gerber, Matt Hawes, Hannah Helmer, Elizabeth Lee, McKenzie Moore, Isabella Peperkorn, Kaitlyn Porter, Hannah Schaefer, Harley Storie, Heidi van der Heijden and Aiden Weishaar.

“The CINCF show is an opportunity for our students to experience the processes involved in entering a show and experience competition and what art majors from other schools are exploring,” said Concordia Nebraska Department of Art Chair Don Robson. “It is also a chance to be recognized for their work through monetary awards.”

A reception and awards ceremony was held Thursday, April 25 at the gallery. Three Concordia Nebraska students received awards at the event:

  • Best of Show – Hannah Schaefer, junior art education/BFA studio major
  • 1st Place, 2D – Aiden Weishaar, junior art education/BFA studio major
  • 3rd Place, 2D – Isabella Peperkorn, junior BFA studio major

In addition, because of the generous funding received from event sponsor Lincoln Industries, a random drawing at the reception awarded two $250 scholarships to art students in attendance. The two awards went to Grace Conant, junior BFA graphic design major, and Kaitlyn Porter, junior BFA studio art major.

Admission to the art show and reception were free, and the event is open to the public thanks to a donation from the Lincoln Industries
