Concordia University, Nebraska announced the arrival of 389 new undergraduate students as of Aug. 22, leading to a full-time undergraduate enrollment of 1,124 on the Seward campus.

“This class is historically one of the university’s largest classes. However, the university’s full time undergraduate enrollment is down from fall 2021,” said Dr. Gary McDaniel, vice president of enrollment and marketing. “The overall head count loss is due to a historic graduating class in May of 2022, and some retention issues related to complications regarding the pandemic. Concordia is celebrating a rise in its adult and graduate programs. This is primarily due to changes in organizational structure. Concordia has much to be thankful for and understands it has much work to accomplish to serve those who enter the university in the future.”

In addition, the university serves 358 full-time and part-time adult learners registered for classes as of Aug. 23.
