Concordia Day of Giving Results 2023
On March 23, hundreds of supportive university alumni and friends joined together to support Concordia University, Nebraska with their prayers and gifts to the Concordia Fund during the Concordia Day of Giving. The giving campaign took place from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22 through 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23.
The event raised $132,355.20 for the Concordia Fund, surpassing the university’s goal of $125,000. The Concordia Fund is the annual operating budget of Concordia supporting academic scholarships, church work scholarships and general mission.
The event is part of a larger event called Concordia Gives Week, which took place March 20-24, 2023. Concordia Gives Week is a week-long fundraising event that brings friends, alumni and students together to support the mission of the university: equipping men and women for lives of learning, service and leadership in the church and world.
This year, Gives Week included Seward-area events including a fundraising dining event at Jimmy John’s, social media highlights of students’ service projects benefitting the university, church, and community during prior to gives week, and an end-of-campus Gives Week celebration.
