Concordia Nebraska partners with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis to present series of Studia Vitae continuing education courses

Concordia University, Nebraska has partnered with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis to present a series of co-taught courses as part of Concordia Nebraska’s Studia Vitae continuing education program. Studia Vitae offers Christ-centered continuing education opportunities in a variety of focused areas through an online scheduled and self-paced learning platform.
The first co-taught course was “Biblical Wisdom, Decision-Making, Phronesis, and Leadership,” presented by Concordia Seminary, St. Louis President Dr. Thomas J. Egger and Concordia Nebraska President, Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Director of Academic Ventures Dr. Bernard Bull once a week during March and April. The course was designed for Lutheran church and school leaders, current and aspiring Christian nonprofit leaders, and lay professionals in leadership but was open to anyone. Participants learned about applying biblical wisdom and classical discernment to faithful decision-making.
Additional courses co-presented by Concordia Seminar, St. Louis and Concordia Nebraska will include:
“Forming the Christian Imagination Through Literature” with Concordia Seminary St. Louis’ Dr. David Schmitt and Concordia Nebraska’s Dr. Hannah Kroonblawd on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Central from May 11 to June 19, 2026.
“Faith Formation and Play” with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ Dr. Kent Burreson and Concordia Nebraska’s Dr. Bernard Bull on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Central July 6 to August 14, 2026.
“Parish Ministry in Rural and Small-Towns” with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ Dr. David Peter and Concordia Nebraska’s Rev. Russ Sommerfeld on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.Central from September 7 to October 16, 2026.
“Biblical Foundations of Adult Parish Education” with Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ Dr. Peter Nafzger and Concordia Nebraska’s Dr. Pete Jurchen on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.Central from November 2 to December 11, 2026.
Registration is now open for Studia Vitae’s May 11 suite of courses. Each CEU course is $150 and is delivered in six one-hour sessions. Exclusive pricing is available for program participants who are members of preferred partner organizations. The short, focused sessions are available as scheduled webinars that will also be recorded for future viewing. Enrollment is flexible and open to anyone with no prerequisites required, and no commitment is needed to take additional classes.
