Concordia University announces new Uzziah Scholars program participants

Concordia University, Nebraska’s Uzziah Ag Scholars program aims to increase the number of future stewards of God’s earth, who will learn and serve as leaders in agriculture for the sake of others.
Uzziah Scholars is entering into its fourth year. The program is built on four pillars: leadership, stewardship, learning and experience. Uzziah Scholars have the opportunity to receive an $8,000 annual scholarship, connect regularly with a mentor serving the field of agriculture, attend ag-related conferences and conventions, participate in domestic and international agricultural study tours, participate in an internship with an agriculturally-based mission, attend an annual dinner with the president of the university and many other hands-on learning opportunities. The group is led by Director Rebekah Kraeger.
“I am incredibly excited about this year’s group of Uzziah Scholars and the opportunity to get to know each of them and watch them grow.”
This year, the program admitted four new students.
“I am incredibly excited about this year’s group of Uzziah Scholars and the opportunity to get to know each of them and watch them grow,” said Kraeger. “We have a great group of students who bring different experiences, strengths, and perspectives to the program. As I continue to grow in my role as director, I’m excited to build on what makes Uzziah special while creating opportunities for these students to develop as leaders, connect with the agricultural industry and discover the ways they can make an impact.”
