Concordia University, Nebraska joins with Concordia University Chicago to host shared travel experience to Iceland

Concordia University, Nebraska has invited Concordia University Chicago to join in a shared travel experience July 7-17, 2027 to Iceland centered on the theme “One Journey — Stronger Together.” Rooted in Ecclesiastes 4:9, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil,” the trip celebrates fellowship, faith and the enduring bonds formed through Concordia education.
Alumni and friends from both campuses will explore Iceland’s stunning natural beauty while enjoying the comfort and hospitality of a world-class cruise experience and strengthening connections between Concordia Chicago and Concordia Nebraska.
“This extraordinary journey will bring together Concordia friends, leaders and supporters for a time of fellowship and discovery of God’s creation amid one of the most remarkable landscapes in the world,” said Concordia Nebraska President, Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Director of Academic Ventures Dr. Bernard Bull. “Traveling aboard the Celebrity Cruise ship Silhouette, we will explore Iceland’s natural beauty, waterfalls, glaciers, volcanic landscapes, geothermal wonders and charming coastal villages. Of course, we will do this together, which is what I value most about these trips.”
“Through Bulldogs on the Road, God blesses us with the joy of renewed friendships and the gift of new ones—each journey a reminder that we never travel alone, but together in faith.”
An information session will take place on Thursday, March 19 at 6 p.m. Central Time online and in the university’s Thom Auditorium to share more information about the trip. To register for the information session or learn more, please visit cune.edu/bulldogsontheroad.
