Faculty profile: Benjamin Hinckfoot
Benjamin Hinckfoot ’14 serves at Concordia Nebraska as assistant professor of health and human performance. He teaches courses focused on the university’s recreation and sport studies major. He is also an assistant track coach and event manager for Bulldog football.
Hinckfoot graduated from Concordia Nebraska with a bachelor of science in education with an emphasis in history and ESL. This is his fourth year working for the university.
“I have served as an assistant coach the last three seasons and have been a witness to many wonderful award-winning performances from gifted Bulldog athletes, including multiple all-conference and all-American honors,” he said. “I love working with college students every day and helping them achieve their goals and dreams.”
He said both his students and peers make Concordia Nebraska a fantastic place to work. He said his service to the university has also helped him grow his faith.
“One of my favorite verses is John 10:10: ‘I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.’ Working at Concordia has provided me with the opportunity to experience the fullness of life in both the hardships and joys found in my time here,” he said.
Hinckfoot said when he is not working, he loves participating in all kinds of outdoor activities, reading and riding his bike. He also enjoys building LEGO sets while listening to Blink-182. He has a Goldendoodle named Indiana “Indy” Jones.
