Graduate Enrollment Specialist Free Freeman has served at Concordia University, Nebraska for almost two years. In this role, he assists potential and new applicants with the enrollment process. This includes providing academic guidance, answering questions, encouraging timely follow-through, collecting varying documents, adhering to university compliance and more.

“Our goal is to provide a seamless process and a world-class experience,” he said. “I get to come to work every day in a Christ-centered environment to serve staff and our students. We pray, we plan and we partner together for the greater good. I love Concordia. I truly respect our graduate team. We work hard and laugh hard together. Everyone has a voice. Our staff is remarkable. Our humble leaders serve with compassion and commitment. Moreover, leadership empowers, impacts and inspires. In an imperfect world we are fortunate to be surrounded by passionate prayerful people that are making a ‘perfect’ difference.

Freeman said his work at the university has definitely impacted his faith in Jesus Christ. He recalls being impressed that during his hiring process, university President Dr. Bernard Bull began the interview meeting in prayer.

“I immediately knew I was in a special place. A place where I could freely express my faith, grow in my faith and encourage the same,” he said.

Freeman and his wife Tori have four daughters, the youngest of whom will attend the university in the fall. He is a United States Air Force veteran. When he’s not serving at the university he enjoys volunteering with his church to help the homeless.

“I also strive to promote meaningful connection with God and people through prayer worldwide through my online prayer ministry called ‘MyPrayerPartnerOfficial’ on YouTube and Instagram,” he said. “My personal motto is to love God and love people. Concordia Nebraska is a great place to exercise these principles. Workplace ministry honors God and helps people.”
