Link Library and Academic Resource Center to host Research and Writing Rescue Day event

As the spring semester comes to a close, students may find themselves overwhelmed with final projects and essays in multiple classes. Knowing how to be a successful researcher and writer is an essential skill for academic success. To offer support in learning this skill, Concordia University, Nebraska’s Link Library and Academic Resource Center are collaborating to host a “Research and Writing Rescue Day” event for the campus community.
“We want to support students on their academic journey and be successful researchers and writers in the classroom,” said Naomi Dang, Link Library’s research, instruction and outreach librarian. “[At this event] we not only provide support but also teach students how to navigate the library research tools.”

The event will be held in Link Library on April 23 from 7 – 9 p.m. The event is come and go style, allowing students to get help any time during the two-hour time frame but to stay as little or as long as they desire.
During the event, writing stations will be set up in Link for students to receive assistance on papers. Research stations hosted by library staff will also be in the library for students learn more about how to research.
“Students come here to study or hang out with their friends. Little do they know, Link Library has so many resources to offer. From checking out sports equipment to books and journals, we have it all!” said Dang.
