Meet Marriage and Family Therapy and Family Life Education adjunct faculty member Dr. Gail Olson

Dr. Gail Olson has served Concordia University, Nebraska as an adjunct online faculty member in the university’s Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and Family Life Education (FLE) graduate programs since 2020. She designs and teaches courses in both programs and presents weekly synchronous sessions to program participants, allowing them to put into practice and apply what is learned in each course.  

Olson has a Ph.D. in psychology and a master’s degree in human relations and counseling from the University of Oklahoma as well as an associate of applied science degree in addictions counseling. Her certifications include LIMHP (licensed independent mental health profession), LADC (licensed addictions counselor) and NCC (nationally certified counselor). She has worked as a counselor for more than 25 years.

My work at Concordia helps my faith grow from connections and interactions with all from the university.” 

In her free time, Olson loves traveling to new places, visiting unique nature spots and having new cultural experiences. She especially loves travel to the coasts of California and Oregon to experience the incredible beauty of God’s creation. She also enjoys mini-adventures and spur of the moment trips.
