Nathaniel Sizer is a sophomore at Concordia University, Nebraska. He is majoring in business administration with a vocational leadership minor. Sizer is involved in a variety of on-campus activities, including Business Club, Paul ScholarsConcordia Catalyst Competition (C3), Bible Study, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and intramurals.

Sizer discovered Concordia through visiting several colleges across Nebraska during high school. Concordia stuck out to him because of the faith-based community. “What makes Concordia different is the people. There is no better atmosphere to grow as a Christian, student and leader than at Concordia.”

When asked what makes Concordia’s business administration program different from other universities, Sizer mentioned how personable and reachable the professors are. “They truly care about their students on a deeper level than most universities. My professors help me discover my purpose by encouraging me to push myself academically, embrace new opportunities and persevere through challenges.”

Sizer had many things to say about his time at Concordia. “My favorite thing about my Concordia experience has been being immersed in a culture of faith and encouragement. Concordia is constantly assisting in developing my faith through chapel, community, and in the classroom.” He also said that Concordia is preparing him for his future vocation by teaching him how to be “professional yet personal, diligent yet adaptive and intellectual yet innovative.”

Sizer’s dream job is to be an entrepreneur. He wants to create and lead a technology business “dedicated to bringing people together and fostering real connections.” Sizer states, “I aspire to build an application that bridges gaps between communities, enhances collaboration and helps people form meaningful relationships.”

Sizer won the Concordia Catalyst Competition last spring with a business called Mediary. Mediary is an app that helps people plan events with their friends in seconds. “You simply create an event, share the link with friends and enjoy a simple yet effective plan,” explains Sizer.

Sizer’s parents and sister all live in Papillion, Nebraska with their black labrador, Daisy. Outside of school, Sizer enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, going camping, practicing photography and videography and developing his business ventures.
