Altogether, the sequence of courses you’re required to take will deepen your understanding of God and your faith while providing a holistic perspective of the Christian vocation.  

Studying Christian theology with Concordia’s esteemed theology faculty will give you the opportunity to ask important questions about your faith, but you’ll also find that it opens the doors to experiences in service, travel, and more. The pre-seminary club, for instance, brings together future pastors who wish to discuss theological matters and engage in a time of fellowship each week. Occasional pre-church work luncheons and the church work scholarships available to students are just a few other examples of these experiences.    

Furthermore, Concordia encourages students to study abroad, go on mission trips, and travel the world to strengthen their faith and practice engaging with diverse populations. For example, students can earn credit for the theology course “Interpretation of Selected Pauline Epistles” by traveling to Cambridge for just over two weeks in May 2025!
