Dr. Amy Stradtmann is an associate professor of education and director of middle-level education at Concordia University, Nebraska, and is responsible for the undergraduate literacy education program.

Dr. Stradtmann has extensive experience in all facets of education. Throughout her teaching career, including her thirty years in Lutheran education through primary and secondary teaching and administration, Stradtmann has been and is committed to developing productive, student-focused learning environments that maximize the educational experience. With her doctorate in literacy from Judson University, Dr. Stradtman hopes to continue her research in adolescent reading motivation with particular focus on the role of graphic novels and the importance of visual literacy. With her adult children out of the nest, Stradtmann now has more time to read, bike and travel with her husband, finding stories everywhere.
