A native of Grand Haven, Michigan, Carla Blersch is an active church musician and has served as an adjunct professor of piano at Concordia since 2007.

She graduated from Concordia College (now Concordia University) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and has been director of music at Community Lutheran Church in Flat Rock, Michigan, and Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She currently serves as an organist at Redeemer Lutheran in David City, Nebraska, and Immanuel Lutheran in Rising City. As a teacher, her principal interest has been working with students who are relatively new to the piano or organ. At Concordia, she teaches class piano for beginning students and lessons in keyboard skills. In her spare time, she is an avid knitter and hosts a weekly knitting podcast.
