Dr. Raegan Skelton joined the CUNE Natural Sciences department in Fall 2022. She has a background in cellular and molecular biology, immunology, and virology, graduating with her Ph.D. in Basic Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Dakota in 2021. Before joining the Concordia University, Nebraska family, Dr. Skelton worked as a technician in the chemistry lab of BD-Medical, Pharmaceutical Systems in Columbus, NE and taught as an adjunct professor for biology and chemistry.
Dr. Skelton strongly feels that God brought her to CUNE to make a difference in students’ lives. “I believe that studying biology means getting to study God’s hands in creation. At Concordia, we have the amazing opportunity to help students see the Creator within themselves and in the amazing world around them.”
Dr. Skelton teaches General Biology, Animal Behavior, Biochemistry Lab, and nonmajor biology and genetics courses. She encourages students to stop by her office with any questions they may have and if she doesn’t have the answer, they will work to figure it out together.
