Kay Rohren has faithfully served Concordia University, Nebraska since 1989. She currently provides administrative support to a wide range of academic departments, including natural sciences, mathematics & computer science, business, art and the Marxhausen Gallery. With offices in both the Dunklau Center for Science, Math and Business and the Brommer Art Center, Rohren plays a vital role in the daily operations of these academic spaces.
Her work includes coordinating building access, assisting faculty and adjunct instructors, communicating with buildings and grounds and security and ensuring that classrooms, labs and gallery spaces are well maintained. Through it all, her goal is to help faculty focus on their students and support the university’s educational mission.
Rohren studied administrative business management at the Lincoln School of Commerce. A lifelong Seward resident and member of St. John Lutheran Church, she treasures the community she’s found at Concordia.
“After losing my husband and raising three boys on my own, I needed to find a workplace home,” she said. “Concordia is a family-friendly place where I feel supported and valued.”
Rohren enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
“God knew what he was doing when he led me to Concordia. I love my Concordia family. ”
