Kevin Madden is the instructor of low brass, covering applied lessons in trombone, euphonium and tuba and the brass techniques course. Originally from New Hampshire, he earned his B.M, in tuba performance from Ithaca College in 2009. He then played in several bands at the Busch Gardens amusement park in Williamsburg, Virginia, and was assistant music director on the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas cruise ship.
Madden has been in Nebraska since 2015, earning his M.M. and D.M.A in tuba at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He is a free-lance tubist in the Lincoln and Omaha areas and has performed with groups such as the Nebraska Brass, the Lincoln Municipal Band, Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra and the Omaha Symphony Orchestra. He is active in the music department at his church, Christ United Methodist Church in Lincoln, where he sings in the choir and often performs both solo and with the church's brass ensemble. He is the audience services manager for Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra and also teaches at Union College in Lincoln.
