Concordia experiences largest undergraduate enrollment in 44 years

Concordia University, Nebraska, announces Concordia’s incoming class has 391 undergraduate students registered as of Sept. 11, 2017, leading to a full-time undergraduate enrollment of 1,209 students on the Seward campus, the highest enrollment in 44 years.

In the last year Concordia has been recognized by third-party organizations for its top-tier academics, vibrant Christian community and a price for higher education that is within reach,” said Brian Friedrich, president of Concordia University. “We’re thankful that families are recognizing the value in that formula, giving us an opportunity to fulfill our mission this year with more students.” 

The fall 2017 incoming class of 391 students is the third largest incoming class at Concordia in decades. Full-time undergraduate enrollment has increased to 1,209 students on the Seward campus, up from 1194 last year.  

In addition, the university’s College of Graduate Studies and Adult Education serves 874 full-time and part-time adult learners registered for classes as of Aug. 28, 2017.

The graduate college offers online and on-ground classes at its campus in the Fallbrook area of north Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as in Omaha, Nebraska.

The university also continues to serve hundreds of students taking dual-credit classes each academic year, pushing the total headcount of students served this fall beyond 2,700.
