Dr. Travis Roehr is a business leader, educator and small business consultant serving the Lincoln and Omaha region. With nearly two decades of experience in the agriculture and construction equipment industry, he is known for bringing a practical, no-nonsense approach to helping businesses solve real operational and financial challenges.
He is actively involved in operations and leadership at Roehr’s Machinery, a family-owned equipment dealership in southeast Nebraska. Working inside a highly competitive, capital-intensive industry, Dr. Roehr has firsthand experience managing operations, navigating economic cycles and making decisions where margins, cash flow and execution matter. This real-world background sets him apart from traditional consultants and directly informs the advice he gives to business owners.
Dr. Roehr works with the Metropolitan Community College Business Development Center, where he advises startups and established businesses across a range of industries. He is often sought out by entrepreneurs who want clear direction, honest feedback and actionable strategies. His focus areas include operations, marketing, financing strategy and business planning, with an emphasis on execution over theory.
In addition to his consulting work, Dr. Roehr is an adjunct business professor at Bellevue University, Concordia University, Nebraska and Metropolitan Community College. He teaches courses in operations management, leadership, entrepreneurship, and business law, consistently integrating real-world application into the classroom.
He has also served on business and academic advisory boards, including the Business and Accounting Advisory Board at Metropolitan Community College, helping align education with workforce and industry needs across the region.
Dr. Roehr holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership and a master’s degree in leadership and management, reinforcing his ability to connect academic insight with practical business execution. He is committed to strengthening the small business ecosystem in Nebraska by bridging the gap between education, industry, and real-world business performance.
An active member of Lincoln Berean Church, Dr. Roehr integrates Christian values into his professional and community life, serving in leadership mentoring and youth athletics. He and his wife, live in Lincoln, Nebraska, with their three children. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he enjoys golfing, cheering on Nebraska sports and the Philadelphia Eagles. He also loves spending summers with his family at the Lake of the Ozarks.
