Jessica Schreiner is originally from Burnt Hills, New York. She earned her bachelor's degree in music education from the Crane School of Music, State University of New York at Potsdam. After earning a master’s degree in music education from the University of Northern Colorado, she taught K–12 music in Ekalaka, Montana. After three years of roughing it “twelve miles past the middle of nowhere,” she moved to Lovell, Wyoming, where she taught middle school and high school band and musical theater for seven years.
She moved to Lincoln in 2019 to pursue a Ph. D. in music education at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, which she received in 2022. She is currently the band director at Seward Middle School. In her free time, she enjoys performing with Seward’s various musical ensembles, spoiling her puppy, and eating her brother’s cooking.
