Concordia named Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Institution for 2023-24

SEWARD, Neb. – With a perfect 100/100 on the NAIA Champions of Character scorecard, Concordia University, Nebraska was named a 2023-24 NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Institution. Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

The accolade adds to an already significant list of accomplishments for Concordia Athletics in 2023-24. The department celebrated its fifth all-time GPAC All-Sports Championship Trophy and landed at No. 15 in the final Learfield Directors’ Cup NAIA Standings while led by GPAC Athletic Director of the Year Devin Smith.
