Evan Fukuhara claimed an individual national title on Thursday (Feb. 29) while in action at the National University Championships. Fukuhara is one of six Bulldogs who made the trip to Columbus, Ohio, for the national competition.
Evan Fukuhara will lead a group of six Bulldogs into the National University Championships in Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 29 - March 3. The six qualifiers is an increase from the first year of the program's existence.
Sophomore Evan Fukuhara rose to the top of the podium in his weight class at the North American Open Finals. He finished the event with a total of 256kg while outperforming the field of 27 lifters in the 67kg class in Wilmington, N.C.

Seven Bulldogs opened the 2023-24 Concordia Weightlifting season at the Heartland Strength Omaha Classic and all seven qualified for the national championships. The event featured roughly 60 athletes on Sept. 16.

A former Concordia student-athlete, Chevy Stout was promoted to a full-time role as Assistant Coach of the Concordia lifting sports and strength & conditioning programs. Stout began that role officially on April 17.
Four Bulldogs made their way to the national stage in Arlington, Texas, for the USA Powerlifting Collegiate Nationals. Concordia qualified Dax Davis, Kenzie Houser, Rylee Ladd and Emma Singer for nationals.
