Concordia's sports information
Interviews
All interviews should be set up through the sports information office. Please keep these times in mind as you make arrangements:
- Concordia head coaches are available throughout the week, mainly in the morning.
- Student-athletes are also available for interviews, typically right before or after practice.
- Most Bulldog teams practice between 3 and 5 p.m. during the week.
Media credentials
Requests for credentials to athletic events should be made at least 48 hours in advance of the event and directed to the sports information office. Spouses, dates, children and non-working media will not be given a pass or assigned a seat on press row. Concordia does not provide parking passes to the media.
Photography credentials
Only credentialed photographers, approved by the SID, are allowed to take photos from the playing field/surface level. (For football and other stadium sports, non-credentialed photographers may take photos from the stands and grassy areas outside of the track.) For shots from the stands or upper concourses, hobbyist and other non-credentialed photographers are asked to accommodate the credentialed photographers who may be pursuing photographs from a similar vantage point.
Gameday services
Concordia's sports information office produces gameday programs, which include rosters, schedules and statistical leaders when available detailed statistics and game notes. Opponents are asked to supply Concordia, preferrably by email, with detailed rosters, up-to-date statistics and season scores, for use in our gameday program no later than a day before the event.
Following a home event, Concordia will supply all results to both home and visiting media. Concordia always contacts the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald with scores and statistics (where applicable).
Concordia will also send results and statistics to opponent media. Please contact the sports information office at least a day in advance of a game with media contact information.
Statistical services
Concordia uses the DakStats or StatCrew/Automated Scorebook statistics programs for football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball. Visiting teams that also use StatCrew are asked to supply Concordia's sports information office with StatCrew roster files at least a day in advance of a game.
Concordia uses the "in-game" functions of the Stat Crew programs for football, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball, and will supply visiting teams and media with complete statistics, including play-by-play, immediately following the game.
During games, Concordia provides quarterly "quick" statistics in the press box for football and halftime statistics for basketball. Between-game statistics are provided during baseball/softball (doubleheaders).
Postgame, Concordia will e-mail game files/links to opposing SIDs and update the GPAC conference site.
All Concordia season and game statistics are kept up-to-date and posted on Concordia's athletic website at www.cune.edu/athletics. Concordia follows NAIA and NCAA statistics guidelines, including guidelines for changing official statistics in case of an appeal or error.
