SEWARD, Neb. – The past week for Jaidan Quinn was so off-the-charts that he beat out a player who hit three grand slams in a single doubleheader for national recognition. On Tuesday (Feb. 27), Quinn reeled in NAIA National Player of the Week and GPAC Hauff/Mid-America Sports Player of the Week awards. Quinn has earned three GPAC Player of the Week awards in his Concordia University Baseball career. The announcement marks his first career national player of the week honor.
Quinn posted superhuman statistics during last week’s offensive surge. As part of the 6-0 week, the third baseman from Bonner Springs, Kan., went 13-for-18 (.722) with 17 runs, four doubles, seven home runs, 15 RBIs and 38 total bases. Quinn slugged 2.111 for the week and reached base at a .741 clip. Through the season’s first 11 games, Quinn is batting .583 (21-for-36) with 20 runs, seven doubles, eight home runs and 21 RBIs to go along with a .653 on-base percentage and 1.444 slugging percentage. On the NAIA national leaderboards, Quinn ranks first in batting average, first in slugging percentage, third in on-base percentage and fourth in home runs.
Quinn has produced in a big way ever since he transferred to Concordia. Over three seasons as a Bulldog, Quinn has totaled 153 runs scored, 31 doubles, 54 home runs and 151 RBIs while batting .367 with a .520 on-base percentage and .855 slugging percentage in 127 games. Quinn hit a school record 27 home runs (equaling Joey Grabanski) in 2023 and was named an NAIA Second Team All-American.
The season will continue for Head Coach Ryan Dupic’s Bulldogs (8-3) on Friday when they are set to begin a four-game series at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla. Concordia is slated to play 11 games in Florida from March 1-9.
