SEWARD, Neb. – For the third time this season, Concordia University third baseman Jaidan Quinn has been recognized as the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Player of the Week. The latest award came on Tuesday (April 2), as announced by the league office. Quinn raked in the same honor on Feb. 27 and March 5. He was also tabbed the NAIA National Player of the Week in late February.
A native of Bonner Springs, Kan., Quinn led the offensive attack during last week’s four-game road sweep of Dordt. In the series, Quinn went 9-for-14 (.643) at the plate with four runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and eight RBIs. He reached base in 14 of 19 plate appearances for a .737 on-base percentage. In the field, Quinn successfully handled all five chances during action in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Quinn has slugged 17 home runs this season (fourth most in the NAIA) while running his career total to 63. This 2024 season, Quinn stands as the GPAC leader in home runs, RBIs (45) and slugging percentage (.990). The three-year numbers for Quinn as a Bulldog are staggering. In 147 career games, he has slashed .360/.513/.839 (BA/OBP/SLG) with 168 hits, 173 runs, 175 RBIs and 33 doubles.
Quinn and the 17th-ranked Bulldogs (23-8, 7-3 GPAC) are preparing to host No. 9 Doane (23-5, 9-1 GPAC) in a doubleheader today (April 2) at 2 p.m. CT.
