SEWARD, Neb. – For the second year in a row, Concordia University Baseball stars Joey Grabanski and Jaidan Quinn have been named NAIA All-Americans. On the 2024 honor roll announced on Wednesday (June 5) by the NAIA, Quinn landed on the first team while Grabanski garnered second team accolades. Quinn became the first player in Bulldog Baseball history to be honored with First Team All-America status. Both Quinn and Grabanski were placed on the NAIA’s second team in 2023.
Named the Co-GPAC Player of the Year along with Grabanski, Quinn enjoyed another stellar campaign in 2024 as he reset program single season standards for home runs (tied at 27), runs scored (81) and walks (49). The third baseman from Bonner Springs, Kan., native batted .387 and posted impressive .535 on-base and .880 slugging percentages while starting all 57 games. He also drove in 75 runs while primarily batting out of the No. 2 spot in the lineup. A three-time First Team All-GPAC honoree, Quinn has played in 173 career games as a Bulldog and has batted .360 with 200 hits, 214 runs scored, 37 doubles, 73 home runs and 205 RBIs. He was named an NAIA Second Team All-American in 2023 and ranks as one of the top hitters in school history. Tabbed a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, Quinn majors in Exercise Science and has one season remaining at Concordia.
Grabanski made headlines this spring as he chased the NAIA’s all-time home run record. The left fielder from Grand Forks, N.D., became the new standard bearer on April 13 and never looked back. This past 2024 season, Grabanski batted .397 (79-for-199) with 59 runs scored, 13 doubles, 26 home runs and 88 RBIs. He also reached base at a .492 clip and slugged .854. In addition to two career All-America awards, Grabanski earned First Team All-GPAC accolades in each of his four seasons at Concordia. His NAIA career national records stand at 88 home runs and 300 RBIs. Over his 227 career collegiate games, Grabanski hit a Concordia record .382 and tallied 309 hits, 227 runs scored, 53 doubles, 626 total bases and 129 walks. Grabanski helped lead the Bulldogs to four national tournaments (one NAIA World Series berth) and to a combined four GPAC championships. He earned his degree from Concordia in Recreation and Sport Studies (emphasis in Sports Management).
