2025 Concordia Baseball Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – Head Coach Ryan Dupic’s Concordia University, Nebraska Baseball program has announced varsity and junior varsity schedules for the 2025 season. The varsity slate is set to include 51 regular season games, including the standard 28 contests (14 doubleheaders) within GPAC play. First pitch of the ’25 campaign will be delivered on Feb. 8 when opening day takes place in Oklahoma City.
The Bulldogs will enter 2025 fresh off a 2024 season that saw them finish at 42-15 overall with GPAC regular season and tournament titles. Dupic’s squad landed at No. 18 in the final NAIA coaches’ poll of 2024 and played in the opening round of the NAIA national tournament for the fifth-straight year and for the sixth time in seven years. Concordia was ranked 20th in the 2025 NAIA preseason poll released on Nov. 6.
Highlights of the 2025 schedule include nonconference trips to locations such as Oklahoma City, Joplin, Mo., Fort Scott, Kan., and Kansas City. Based on the NAIA preseason poll, the Bulldogs are scheduled to play the following top 25 teams: No. 11 Southeastern University (Fla.), No. 15 Bellevue University and No. 23 Oklahoma City University. In addition, GPAC rival Doane is ranked as the first team in the receiving votes category.
Concordia will take on NAIA powerhouse Southeastern in a four-game series (March 6-8) in Lakeland, Fla., as part of its spring break. The team’s stay in The Sunshine State will continue on March 9-10 at the annual RussMatt Invitational. Upon arriving home from Florida, the Bulldogs will open conference play with doubleheaders at Northwestern and Midland the weekend of March 15-16. As the schedule stands, Concordia will appear at home for the first time when new GPAC member Waldorf pays a visit to Plum Creek Park on March 28. The slate is backloaded with home games as the Bulldogs are scheduled to play their final eight games of the regular season in Seward.
Pod play at the 2025 GPAC tournament will run May 1-3 at the home sites of the top two seeds in the final conference standings. The GPAC Championship Game is scheduled to take place on May 5. For those who qualify, the ’25 campaign will continue with the NAIA National Championship Opening Round May 12-15 and the NAIA Baseball World Series May 23-30. Once again, the NAIA Baseball World Series will be staged in Lewiston, Idaho.
The 2025 edition of Concordia Baseball will have a different look to it after the program said goodbye to star outfielders Jay Adams, Alec Blakestad and Joey Grabanski. In terms of previous accolades, the top returners will be All-GPAC honorees in shortstop Jimmy Blumberg, pitcher Christian Gutierrez, DH Brad Hallock, second baseman Ty Nekoliczak, third baseman Jaidan Quinn, first baseman Matt Rhoades and catcher Tanner Tompkins.
