The win streak in Florida has reached eight for the Bulldogs, who benefited from a masterpiece thrown by Christian Gutierrez and a stellar bullpen. Offensively, Brad Hallock came through in the clutch in the win over Warner.
Two solid starts from the pitching staff and a big day from Alec Blakestad helped helped lead Concordia to wins on Friday (March 7) over Calumet and Lawrence Tech. Blakestad homered twice and reached base seven times.
The continued home run surge for Jaidan Quinn resulted in him earning back-to-back GPAC Player of the Week awards. Quinn went through a stretch that saw him homer in eight of nine games.
Timely hitting and strong pitching helped the Bulldogs snare two more wins as part of day four in Florida. Matt Rhoades threw 4.1 innings in his college pitching debut, Jay Adams homered and Michael Welch came through in the clutch.
Inclement weather that arrived after the first pitch on Sunday (March 3) wiped out game four of the series at Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Bulldogs will resume their Florida tour with two games on Monday.
Jaidan Quinn keeps driving baseballs over the fence at an absurd rate. He hit three more on Saturday (March 2) as the Bulldogs defeated Keiser by scores of 10-9 and 10-8 and now lead the four-game series in West Palm Beach.
Concordia started strong on Friday (March 1) with three homers over the first two innings before Keiser buckled down and claimed the 11-6 victory. The contest was the first in a four-game series in West Palm Beach.
An off-the-charts week of slugging baseballs led to Jaidan Quinn being named the NAIA National Player of the Week and GPAC Player of the Week. Quinn blasted seven home runs as part of a 6-0 week for the Bulldogs.
A seven-game winning streak will lead the Concordia Baseball team into its spring break trip. The Bulldogs are slated to play 11 games in Florida from March 1-9 and will take part in the RussMatt Invitational and Warner Invitational.
The Bulldogs continued to put up offensive numbers like it's a video game as they homered 11 times while rolling to wins in games three and four of the series with Culver-Stockton. Jaidan Quinn and Matt Rhoades both homered three times.
