Jayden Adams and the top three of the Bulldog lineup keep sizzling. Concordia collected 12 hits and 13 walks in a 15-5 run-rule win over Sterling College on Wednesday (March 10).
Concordia Baseball has swept GPAC weekly awards. Jayden Adams (Player of the Week) and Alex Johnson (Pitcher of the Week) were honored by the GPAC on Tuesday (March 9).
With the wind blowing out, the ball was flying out of the yard on Sunday (March 7). The Bulldogs hit 10 home runs (seven in game 2) in a dominant doubleheader sweep of Grand View.
While spending a weekend in Sabetha, Kan., the Bulldogs split their Saturday (March 6) doubleheader with Grand View. Concordia belted five home runs as part of the game 2 win.
In continuing an early theme, the pitching staff was nearly spotless as the Bulldogs took two from College of the Ozarks on Saturday (Mo.). Three Concordia players hit a home run apiece.
While making his first career collegiate start, Alex Johnson struck out 11 hitters and picked up the victory. Concordia split its Friday (Feb. 26) doubleheader at College of the Ozarks.
In a long awaited return to the diamond, the Bulldogs won twice while in action at the Rube Foster Classic on Tuesday (Feb. 23). Concordia defeated both York and Missouri Baptist.
Warm temperatures are expected on Tuesday (Feb. 23) when the Bulldogs open the 2021 season at the Rube Foster Classic. Concordia will take on York College and Missouri Baptist University.
Harsh weather conditions will not allow the Bulldogs to open their season this weekend (Feb. 20-21). Instead, Concordia plans to head to Kansas City, Kan., for two games on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
