After a thoroughly dominant four-game sweep of Midland, the Bulldogs hope to pack those same powerful bats on the road this weekend as they play at Morningside and Jamestown. Concordia is 11-1 in the GPAC.
Each of the past four GPAC Baseball Player of the Week awards has gone to a Bulldog. The latest award winner is Jaidan Quinn, who went 8-for-12 with two doubles, two home runs and six RBIs in a four-game sweep of Midland.
Concordia crushed the soul of Midland in each and every contest of a four-game weekend series. The Bulldogs hit four more homers on Sunday while completing the sweep with wins by scores of 11-5 and 12-2.
The Concordia lineup looked as potent as ever on Saturday (April 2) as it combined for 37 runs and three grand slams in a doubleheader sweep of Midland. The Bulldogs (9-1 GPAC) also got two strong pitching performances in the wins.
Another four-game weekend series is forthcoming as the Bulldogs will take on Midland this Saturday and Sunday. Both sides own impressive overall records. Concordia is coming off taking three of four from Northwestern.
For a third week in a row, a member of the Concordia Baseball team has been named the GPAC Player of the Week. Alec Blakestad is this week's award winner after he went 6-for-14 during the four-game series with Northwestern.
A Jesse Garcia walk-off, two-run homer in the first game of Friday (March 25)'s doubleheader served as the main highlight of a split with Northwestern. Concordia took three out of four in the series and is 7-1 in GPAC play.

An eight-game home stretch to begin conference play continues this week with Northwestern scheduled to be in town for a four-game series. The Bulldogs have started 4-0 in the GPAC while hitting 17 home runs this past weekend.
