Jason Munsch's utter dominance continued on Friday as he threw a no-hitter at Briar Cliff. The Bulldog bats were also on their game, piling up a combined 33 runs in a doubleheader sweep.
Jason Munsch's school record 20 strikeouts in a single game led to him being named the NAIA National Pitcher of the Week by the NCBWA. Munsch has not allowed a single earned run in 2020.
Mayville State pitchers held the Bulldogs to a combined four runs on Tuesday (March 10) while helping the Comets to a doubleheader sweep. Concordia will return home at 12-7 overall.
While in action for the third day in a row in Tucson, the Bulldogs claimed a 6-4 win over Antelope Valley with the help of a homer apiece from Ben Berg and Jakob Faulk and the work of four pitchers.
Senior lefty Jason Munsch struck out 20 hitters in setting a new school single-game record in the team's first day in Tucson. The Bulldogs defeated Concordia, St. Paul in game two.
Off to a 10-2 start, the Bulldogs are now ready to head southwest to Tucson, Ariz., for the Tucson Invitational. Concordia will play seven times in Tucson between March 7 - 10.
As awarded by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), junior Nick Little has been named the NAIA National Pitcher of the Week. Little fired a seven-inning no hitter versus Waldorf.
Concordia piled up a combined 25 runs while sweeping a doubleheader from Baker University on Tuesday (March 3). Jesse Garcia belted another homer and Keaton Candor went 3-for-3 in game two.
The Bulldogs showcased the depth of their roster while winning twice more on Sunday (March 1) to complete a four-game weekend sweep of Waldorf. Concordia moved to 8-2 this season.
Nick Little spun a no-hitter and Jason Munsch dealt a one-hitter as part of a dominant doubleheader sweep of Waldorf on Saturday (Feb. 29) in Sabetha, Kan. The Bulldogs won both games by 10-0 scores.
