    Friday doubleheader moved to Monday

Due to inclement weather, the Concordia baseball program has postponed Friday (April 12)'s scheduled doubleheader versus Morningside. It will now be played at home on Monday (April 15).

  • It was a cold, it was windy and it was an 8-2 loss for Concordia. In other words, it was a forgettable night. However, freshman catcher Ben Berg managed to cut through the wind with his first career home run.

  • Two more complete game victories resulted in a second GPAC Pitcher of the Week award this season for junior Jake Fosgett. The Carlsbad, Calif., native is now 5-1 with a 3.55 ERA this season.

  • A four-run rally in the final inning of game two gave the Bulldogs hopes of remaining unbeaten in conference play. However, the Warriors won a wild second game in a doubleheader split on Tuesday (April 9).

  • Both games got tense in the latter innings, but the Bulldogs left Crete with a doubleheader sweep of Doane on Saturday (April 6). Concordia is now 12-0 in conference play heading into Sunday action.
