Byrd and Huebner named NAIA Scholar-Athletes
Concordia University’s Tyler Byrd and Sam Huebner have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Byrd, a junior from Bennington, was a first team All-GPAC performer this season for the Bulldogs. He was second on the team in scoring and led the team in assists and steals.
This is the second straight NAIA Scholar-Athlete award for Huebner. The senior from Colorado was a second team All-GPAC performer this year. He led the team in scoring and rebounding and was named to the Cattle Classic and CIT All-Tournament Teams.
Concordia was 16-13 overall and 10-8 in the GPAC during the 2010-11 season.
