Byrd picks up NAIA honorable mention All-American honors

Concordia University junior Tyler Byrd is a 2011 NAIA Division II honorable mention All-American selection.  The All-American teams were released on Wednesday. 

Byrd (Bennington, Neb.) was a leader at the point guard position for the Bulldogs in his junior season.  He averaged 13 points per game to rank second on the team and led the team in minutes played (36.1 mpg).  Byrd also led Concordia in both assists and steals.  He picked up first team All-GPAC honors this year for the Bulldogs. 

Concordia was 16-13 overall and 10-8 in conference play this year.
