SEWARD, Neb. – A scorching offensive performance propelled Concordia University, Nebraska Men's Basketball past Judson University (Ill.), 103-66, in a lopsided Cattle Classic clash on Saturday (Nov. 7). The Bulldogs torched the nets, shooting a blistering 57.8 percent from the floor and 48.1 percent from beyond the arc. Brooks Kissinger powered the offensive onslaught with a game-high 26 points, while Dane Jacobsen caught fire from deep with six triples.

Head Coach Ben Limback’s squad is 3-1 on the season, going 2-0 in the Cattle Classic.

“I thought Brooks was really good early, pushing it in transition,” Limback said. “We created a number of turnovers early in that game, and we set the tone defensively. That's kind of how we want to play right now, having our defense lead to offense. Other than that, I think everybody contributed to some degree. I really liked what Colby did in the first half, especially. He got us going. Then, in the second half, Dane Jacobsen was on a heater, so that was fun to watch.”

After the Eagles trimmed the deficit to five (21-16), Concordia rattled off nine of the next 11 points to push its lead into double figures. Kissinger ignited the surge with a layup off a steal, followed by a Jaxon Stueve trey and two more buckets from the physical forward. Judson cut the lead to eight (32-24), but the Dawgs unleashed a 12-4 burst to stretch the margin to 16. Jacobsen spearheaded the attack, knocking down two 3-pointers and adding a pair of baskets during the decisive stretch.

Kissinger bulldozed his way through the Eagle defense, converting 10-of-13 shots from the field and 6-of-8 attempts at the charity stripe. The dynamic scorer out of Ashland, Neb., flirted with a double-double, pulling down a game-high nine rebounds while adding three assists and three steals.

Jacobsen torched the nets with a red-hot shooting performance, draining 6-of-7 attempts from long range on his way to 24 points. The sharpshooting Ashland-Greenwood product shot 8-for-11 overall and chipped in two assists and two steals. Together, Kissinger and Jacobsen accounted for 50 of Concordia's 103 points and were honored on the 2026 All-Cattle Classic team.

Limback continued, “He's one of those guys who has the ability to score all the time. He's just so unselfish that when you see him do it, it opens everything up for everybody else. That's what we're trying to find a balance between: him creating and being the distributor as a point guard, and then also doing what he did today.”

The well-oiled Bulldog offense fired on all cylinders, connecting on 37-of-64 (.578) attempts from the field and 13-of-27 (.481) from downtown. Concordia dished out 25 assists on its 37 made baskets. Hayden Frank orchestrated the attack with a team-high five assists, while Stueve added four.

The Dawgs also flexed their defensive muscle, forcing 23 Judson turnovers and collecting 12 steals. Concordia controlled the glass, outrebounding the Eagles, 40-28. Colby Rautenberg chipped in five boards and a pair of blocks.

Frank and Garret Johnson contributed nine points apiece, with Johnson splashing home three treys. Stueve added seven points and four assists.

CUNE will have a short few days before hosting Ottawa University (Kan.) on Tuesday (Nov. 10). The Bulldogs will take the court at 7 p.m. CT.
