• The Bulldogs and Broncos traded blows throughout an entertaining second half only to have David Plain deliver the knockout punch in the final minutes. After playing catch up most of the second half, the Concordia University men’s basketball team fell, 87-80, in Wednesday night’s GPAC opener at Hastings.

  • The Concordia men’s basketball team will begin GPAC competition this week. The Bulldogs will first travel to Hastings College on Wednesday, Nov. 18 with tipoff set for 8 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 21, CUNE will host Morningside College for a 7 p.m. start time.

  • Despite offensive struggles and seeing a 17 point lead diminish, the Concordia Bulldogs capped off an impressive Cattle Conference Classic weekend with a 62-51 victory over Mayville State.

  • Point guard Jamie Pearson played the role of one-man wrecking crew in propelling the Concordia University men’s basketball team to a 97-96 overtime win over eighth-ranked Bellevue University on Friday night at the 16th annual Cattle Classic.

  • The Concordia men’s basketball team posted up a big win over Johnson & Wales on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs, only down by one early in the tilt, led for the majority and won, 89-49. All 15 Bulldogs saw action during the victory.

  • A series of rules changes will affect all levels of collegiate men’s basketball, beginning with this coming 2015-16 season. The most obvious alteration is the shortening of the shot clock from 35 to 30 seconds.

  • At 6-foot-9, junior Max Wegener has been the perfect hire as a painter working for buildings and grounds on the Concordia University campus. Long and lean, Wegener uses his go-go gadget arms to extend the paint roller to the top of ceilings.
