Five Bulldogs again reached double figures as they routed Presentation, 96-72, at the Hastings Classic on Saturday (Oct. 30). Concordia (2-0) jumped out to a 14-0 lead and shot 50 percent from the floor on the day.
While opening the 2021-22 season, the Bulldogs ramped up their defensive pressure in the second half and ran away from Friends, 87-57, on Friday (Oct. 29). Five Concordia players reached double figures in scoring.
The wait for Concordia Men’s Basketball is just about over. The 2021-22 season will tip off this weekend at the Hastings College C3 Tip-Off Classic, where the Bulldogs will play Friends and Presentation.
The Bulldogs will begin the 2021-22 season with some degree of national respect. Voted third in the GPAC, Concordia picked up eight points in the NAIA preseason coaches' poll released on Wednesday (Oct. 27).
The Bulldogs return all five starters from a 2020-21 squad that equaled a program record for GPAC wins in a season. As a result, Concordia slotted in at No. 3 in the GPAC preseason coaches' poll.
