    Bulldogs tripped up in road slugfest

    Offensive woes were the culprit on Wednesday (Feb. 9) as the Bulldogs were tripped up at Doane, 54-50. Concordia shot only 32.8 percent from the floor and slipped to 13-5 in GPAC play as it continues to chase a conference title.

  • In the only game of the week for Concordia, the Bulldogs will be at Doane on Wednesday. Every outing is a pivotal one with Head Coach Ben Limback's squad currently sitting one-half game behind Briar Cliff atop the GPAC standings.

  • A flurry of 3-pointers rained in during the second half as the Bulldogs sped away from Dordt for a 92-62 home win on Saturday (Feb. 5). Seven Concordia players notched at least eight points in pushing the overall record to 20-5 (13-4 GPAC).

  • A quartet of Bulldogs netted 15 points or more apiece in an offensive-oriented clash with Midland that amounted to a 92-87 road win on Wednesday (Feb. 2). Justin Wiersema emerged with 21 points as Concordia remained near the top of the GPAC standings.

  • During the weekend off, the Bulldogs got just a bit closer to the top spot in the GPAC standings. They will continue their push for a conference championship this week in matchups with Midland and Dordt.

  • A big night from Gage Smith (28 points and 11 rebounds) helped the Bulldogs extend their home win streak to 15 and their series win streak over Hastings to 13. Concordia led by 26 in the first half and defeated the Broncos, 82-68.

  • Concordia didn't have an answer for star post Alex Van Kalsbeek on Saturday (Jan. 22) and got outgunned in a 92-77 defeat at Northwestern. Four players scored in double figures for the 25th-ranked Bulldogs (17-5, 10-4 GPAC).
