First team All-GPAC selection and budding star Justin Wiersema was named the honorary captain of the Omaha World-Herald's All-Nebraska Team. Two other Bulldogs were also honored.
Highlights from the 2020-21 Concordia Men's Basketball season included a dominant run at home, a sweep of Northwestern and All-GPAC performances from Carter Kent, Gage Smith and Justin Wiersema.

The standout trio of Carter Kent, Gage Smith and Justin Wiersema all collected All-GPAC honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday (March 3). Wiersema was a first team selection.

Hopes of repeating last year’s GPAC tournament championship run ended abruptly on Wednesday (Feb. 24). The Bulldogs were defeated, 70-58, by Dakota Wesleyan.

Programs that met in the 2020 GPAC tournament championship game will reconvene this Wednesday night in the quarterfinals of the 2021 conference postseason.

The Bulldogs closed the regular season strong, dominating Doane in an 84-63 win on Saturday (Feb. 20). Gage Smith went off for 21 points and 13 rebounds and Concordia celebrated four seniors.

While continuing to dominate Hastings, Concordia poured in 19 treys in a 106-73 home rout on Wednesday (Feb. 17). The Bulldogs collected 30 assists against just seven turnovers.

The Bulldogs will get comfortable at home in the final week of the regular season as they host Hastings and Doane. Concordia will honor four seniors prior to tipoff on Saturday.

The men's basketball matchup between Concordia and Hastings originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 has been postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 17 with tipoff at 7 p.m. CT.
