2020-21 Cheer & Dance Schedule (PDF)
SEWARD, Neb. – The 2020-21 Concordia University cheer and dance schedules will feature an enhanced dual schedule. The programs announced their slate for next winter on Thursday (April 30). GPAC Cheer Coach of the Year Mandi Maser’s squads are set to begin their official competition season with cheer and dance duals at Mount Marty on Jan. 13, 2021. The regular-season schedule includes eight dance and seven cheer competition dates.
For the third year in a row, the Bulldogs will host the Concordia Cheer and Dance Invitational. Once again, both programs will also hold a series of conference duals in conjunction with home basketball games. The dates for those duals are Jan. 16, Jan. 27, Feb. 6, Feb. 10 and Feb. 20.
The Concordia Invitational Tournament enters its fourth year in which cheer and dance competitions have been included as part of the event. That means CUNE will host this particular event for the first time ever. CIT cheer and dance routines will unfold at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 30. Just like the basketball tournament, the Concordias of Ann Arbor, Chicago and Wisconsin will be on hand.
Doane will be the host of the GPAC Cheer and Dance Championships to be held in Crete, Neb., Feb. 26-27. The NAIA National Championships (March 12-13) will shift to Ann Arbor, Mich., home to Concordia University, Ann Arbor.
During the 2019-20 season, Maser’s squads were captained by seniors Morgan Fritsch and Annie Pico and junior Lanessa Kerner in cheer and junior Kalina Schoenfeld in dance. Freshman Katherine Anderson garnered honorable mention All-GPAC accolades this past season.
