2023-24 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Selections
SEWARD, Neb. – For her efforts athletically and academically, senior Bre Romero represented Concordia University Competitive Cheer with 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large Team selection. The honorees were announced on Tuesday (June 25) by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Romero has earned this distinction for the first time.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Romero was a key part of a 2024 Concordia Cheer team that ranked 21st nationally in terms of average competition score (80.72). The Elmwood, Neb., native competed in all six competition routines and was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Romero graduated this past May after studying Psychology and Behavioral Science.
At-Large Academic All-America® honorees will be announced by CSC on July 16-17. The women’s honorees will be revealed on July 16 with men’s award winners to be unveiled the following day.
