Bulldog men finish 20th at NAIA National Meet
The Concordia University men finished 20th at the 2010 NAIA National Cross Country Meet held on Saturday in Washington. A total of 32 teams and 326 individuals took part in the men’s race.
Concordia finished with 455 team points. Dana Schmidt (Grundy Center, Iowa) was the top finisher for the Bulldogs. Schmidt finished 24th overall with a time of 25:36. Senior Tyson Billings (Valentine, Neb.) was 49th with a time of 26:10.
Other finishers for the Bulldogs included Colin Morrissey (Omaha, Neb.) in 108th with a time of 27:02 and Matt Trampe (Kearney, Neb.) in 135th with a time of 27:22. Beau Billings (Valentine, Neb.) was 139th at 27:25. Aaron Kortze (Rockford, Ill.) was 163rd at 27:54 and Adam Prahlow (St. Louis, Mo.) was 166th with a time of 27:56.
A total of 331 athletes took part in the women’s race. Alicia Marteney (Pawnee City, Neb.) finished in 99th overall with a time of 19:21. Sarah Kortze (Rockford, Ill.) crossed in 132nd with a time of 19:34.
