SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia Cross Country seasons will officially get started on Friday as the Bulldogs compete at the Augustana Twilight hosted by Augustana University. The meet will take place at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, S.D., where the women’s race will go off at 8:30 p.m. CT with the men’s race to follow at 9 p.m. The Augustana Twilight returns after being canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19. Augustana competes as a member of NCAA Division II.

Heading into the campaign, Head Coach Matt Beisel’s squads sport GPAC rankings of third on the women’s side and sixth on the men’s side. The women’s program captured the 2019 GPAC title and placed 12th at the NAIA national championships. Both Bulldog teams have hopes of top three conference placements and potential national championship bids.
At the 2019 Augustana Twilight, the Concordia women placed eighth out of a large and competitive field of 25 squads. Meanwhile, the men finished 20th out of 26 teams. The Augustana Twilight often includes runners from many collegiate levels, including the NAIA and NCAA Division I, II and III.
