Schedule Release: 2024 Concordia Cross Country

2024 Concordia Cross Country Schedule

SEWARD, Neb. - A new Concordia University Cross Country season breaks open with the Augustana University Twilight for the fourth consecutive campaign. The slate includes five regular season competitions before heading into the conference championships. This will be Matt Beisel’s ninth year as the head coach of the Bulldogs Cross Country and Track & Field Teams.

With the women finishing one spot away from a conference championship, Concordia will return potential heavy hitters: Claire Beikmann, Hannah Beintema, Keegan Beisel, Kelsie Heins, Ellie Jander, Rhaya Kaschinske, Katelyn Nix, Josie Smith and Sammi Vojslavek. The squad will be without long time standouts NAIA All-American Kylahn Freiberg plus national qualifiers Julie McIntyre and Rylee Haecker. Claiming third place, the men look to return: Westley Determan, Jack Ellis, Thomas Gorline, Charlie Hayden, Trevor Kuncl, Aidan Limback, Nathan Pennekamp, Trey Robertson, Evan Schmidt, Adric Schmidtz, Justin Sherman and Ransom Watts. NAIA National Qualifier Calvin Rhode has used all of his eligibility leaving the top spot up for grabs in a supremely deep roster.

Dropped from last year’s schedule, the Holiday Inn Express Classic returns in 2024 with the Bulldogs heading to in Sioux City, Iowa (Oct. 12) hosted on the Dordt University Campus. The rest of the field is familiar to last year. Concordia will compete at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invite (Sept. 21), Briar Cliff University Invite (Oct. 5) and finish off the regular season rundown at the Blazing Tiger Invite (Oct. 26).

The 2024 GPAC Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Doane and will take place at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Neb., on Nov. 9. For those who qualify, the season will continue with the NAIA Cross Country National Championships at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Fort Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 22.
