SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Concordia dance team competed at the GPAC Invite on Saturday. The squad finished sixth with a score of 86.67. The competition was held in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center on Morningside College’s campus.
Head coach Heather Duff said, “We’re very proud of the team as always. We have some things to work on and clean up before regionals such as the turns. We’re excited to work hard in practices and show that improvement at regionals.”
There was a total of nine teams competing in the dance category. Concordia placed ahead of Northwestern, Doane and Dordt. The Bulldogs showed improvement after previously falling short in a dual with Doane. The conference champion was Midland, scoring 110.02.
The dance team will compete at the North Regional in Fremont on Friday, Feb. 26. If the team qualifies for nationals, the competition will be on March 11-12.
